Fast rising R&B Maestro, Super K O, is becoming a force to reckon with in the music industry.  The  multi-talented singer, cum song writer, Super KO spoke on his  career, Relationship, latest single, School and many more…

HOW DID YOU GET THE NAME SUPER KO?
(LAUGHTER)As funny as it may sound I woke up one morning and I just said to myself Super KO, at first I taught  about  it but after a while it just  sunk in and soon  you know, like that it clicked and I ended up with the name but K.O was already in existence, but I wanted to be different so, I added the Super to the name making it Super KO.
Super KO is a metaphor which has two meaning:  first, from the name you can tell Super KO means ‘SUPER KNOCKOUT’, then the second  meaning  which has to with K.O means King Oba which means King  in the western Nigeria, but  I’m a King you get? And my surname is Oba.

IT SEEMS YOU WERE BORN AND BROUGHT UP IN THE EAST?
Yes I was brought up in the East, Enugu precisely. But I was born in Lagos.

ARE YOU IGBO OR YORUBA?
I’m Igbo (I’m from Delta state).

YOUR  EDUCATIONAL  BACKGROUND?
I attended Foundation Nursery and Primary school, had my secondary in University of Nigeria Secondary school Enugu. I’m currently Studying Business Admin.  in one of the Universities in South-East.

HOW DO YOU COPE WITH SCHOOL AND MUSIC?
It  ain’t  easy at all, but I do my best to  be on top of my game in both areas, and try not to let them collide.  So when it’s time for music I give it my full attention too. But in all, I guess it’s just about planning and timing and Gods grace too.

ARE YOUR PARENTS IN SUPPORT OF YOUR MUSICAL CAREER?
Yeah they are very supportive.
HOW IS YOUR GIRL FRIEND ?
I wish I had a girl friend, but I don’t. (LAUGHTER)
WHY, AS HANDSOME ASYOU ARE GIRLS  MUST BE THROWING THEM SELVES AT YOU?
( LAUGHTER) Well in my case its not like that , I mean I have many female friends, but I guess I haven’t find the right one yet.
YOUR LATEST SINGLE ‘ADANMA’, HAS BEEN ENJOYING MASSIVE AIR PLAY ACROSS THE NATION AND YOU ‘VE  BEEN ATTENDING A LOT OF SHOWS, SMILLING TO THE BANK, HOW DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL?
Yeah, first of all I say a very big thank you to my producer (JAY5) for given me an amazing hit. And my song ‘ADANMA’ has really done a lot for me, all I can say is that, I’m very grateful and I feel blessed.

TALKING ABOUT JAY5 AS A MUSIC  PRODUCER, SOME ARTISTE COMPLAIN ABOUT HIM BEEN HARSH. WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE THE SAME AS THEIRS?
(LAUGHTER) Seriously  harsh?  I  doubt  that, but as for me Jay5 is “like a brother” to me, we are cool…we  have a great bond or relationship together .  He is a great guy, he is a very  peaceful person.  And  I enjoy  working with him because he always pushes me to become better and better with my music, which I really appreciate.

SO WHO IS YOUR  ROLE  MODEL IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY?
Well, I look up to a lot of people in the industry cos they are all doing great in their own way, but personally my role model is Cassper  Nyvost, the South African rapper. I just like him, he inspires me.

ANY  WORD FOR YOUR FANS?

I want to let them know,  I love them and I really appreciate their support.  And I promise to always give them good music and by the Grace of God I will not let them down.
